Georgia School of Preaching and Biblical Studies

The Georgia School of Preaching and Biblical Studies (GSOP) is an educational institution sponsored by and affiliated with churches of Christ in Georgia.  You can reach their website at www.gsoponline.org. 

Piedmont Road Church of Christ is the sponsoring congregation for this work and our elders oversee the overall operation of GSOP statewide, with assistance from elderships at congregations where secondary campuses are located.  GSOP is a tuition-free system of Bible-based instruction designed to prepare not only preachers but all Christians for effective, fruitful service in the Lord’s church.  GSOP has campuses strategically located throughout Georgia, with additional satellite locations being added as the demand for courses continues to grow. 

Instructors are sound, faith preachers of the gospel who adhere strictly to the conservative and thorough exegesis of the biblical text.  They each possess earned degrees from accredited academic institutions, as well as multiple years of experience in local church work, evangelism, missions, and counseling. The curriculum is a comprehensive, well-balanced 36 hour program that is designed to be completed in as few as six quarters (two calendar years) of work.  All courses involve classroom instruction.  Students have the option to take courses for either credit or audit, and may earn one of two certificates offered upon completion of all academic requirements.  GSOP credits are transferable to other schools of preaching and select undergraduate institutions affiliated with churches of Christ.
